  1. Cheers guys I will put in on the back burner. I am doing my reading prep for my test:)
  2. hi, thanks that was what i wa stold. So I presume that I have an invite for a test is a godo thing. I was just worried they would hold me there and cancel my PR visa, I am probably just being over dramatic.
  3. Hi all I posted a comment earlier but not sure if I gave it the right title. Ok so I have applied for citizenship and have been invited to do a test. However, I am concerned about an infrigment notice I had for being drunk. Basically I feel asleep outside a food outlet after a big night, cops picked me up and I spent four hours in the drunk tank, was then let me go with a fine. I was assured the fine known as a an 'infrigement notice' was not recorded on a police record (subsequnt police checks have not shown it) and that it was not classed as a conviction (it never went to court). So should I be concerned. Would immigration know and could they cancel my PR over something so trivial? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Hi all I am new on the forum and have a question. I have lived in Aus for over 5 years and have recently applied for my Australian Citizenship. However, I am concerned whether I will have some issues and a few years ago I recieved a infringement notice for being drunk. Basically I was at a party and I feel asleep on some steps outside a take away foot outlet, cops came a long and put me in the drunk tank for four hours and issued me with an infringement notice (this was in Melbourne). Please note that this was not a conviction and I paid the fine in full (treated the same as a tarffic ticket). This has not come up on subsequent police checks either (I was told it wouldnt, thank goodness). However, I am concerned will immigration know about this. I have been invited a long next week to immigration to do some kind of test and am concerned whether they would cancel my permanent resideny over this, as I have heard horror stories before. Would of I been better to of stayed on my permament rresidency and not applied for citizenship. Anyone who can offer and advice please do. Thank you:)
