  1. Visa granted yesterday see my signature for timeline!! No more waiting I can finally stop looking for old documents to prove things yay!!
  2. We've been asked by our case officer for proof of Superannuation contributions from my husbands previous job in Oz which was from 2007 to 2008. We don't have any old payslips but we did have a letter from Axa confirming the amount which was repaid back to him when we came home which the CO has rejected as proof. Just sent an email to see if Axa are able to provide a statement of acct for him but found out they are now part of a AMP in Oz. Anyone been asked for this info and if so any advice on what else we could do? Haven't tried old employer as not sure what they would be able to provide or if they would even reply. Would the Government tax office in Oz be able to help?
  3. Hi Clair, Sorry for the late reply yes you set it up on the gov website. You need your visa application number which you should have from your agent and it needs to be set up in the main applicants name. Here is the link to the immi account page. https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login Kel
  4. Hi Claire we submitted ours at the end of May and got contacted on the 10th Aug to get Medicals & police checks. What state have you applied for we're Adelaide & my husband is a refrigeration engineer - state and occupation could be a factor in processing time although this is just my own opinion. We have an agent but have also registered for our own immi acct as it allows us to see if there are any changes/ requests etc although we have been told by our agent it's fine to check as long as we don't upload any info etc. I don't think it'll be long before things start moving for you they've probably just got over the last financial years backlog of grants and are starting to move forward with this New Years grants. Fingers crossed you hear something soon. Kel
  5. Hi, I would save up book yourself a flight and arrange some interviews with potential employers for when you arrive. WE did that 6 years ago and my husband got a job in the first week of our 3 week holiday although he is an air conditioning engineer so the jobs are plentiful. It's probably easier to secure sponsorship if you are able to meet with the potential employer face to face. Good luck. Kelly
  6. People may already know about this but anyone looking to move to SA and want to know what the job opportunities might be like have a look here http://www.skills.sa.gov.au/workforce-information/workforce-wizard You can tailor it to your own job type etc and pull off reports in pdf that go into a bit of detail. It's all stats but its more information for planning that move.
  7. Thanks Lizzie we are just missing his earlier employment which covers 2006 - which is the 8 years needed. Just spoke to my agent and husband has applied for employment history from Inland Revenue but again this only goes back to 2007 I think so still 1 year short will be tearing the house apart looking for an earlier P60 or payslip although the agent doesn't seem as worried as I am. By the way I am only front loading as hoping to get an invitation for 190 on Monday so probably getting to caught up in something that may not happen! The joys of migrating...
  8. Just a quick question what is needed to prove employment? Do you have to have a reference for every company you've worked at? TRA was done back in 2006 so don't have those documents to rely on and it's proving difficult trying to get in touch with some employers. Would P60's suffice or not? Or does it just depend on your CO? Thanks Kelly
