selling up was the easy bit...we sold our house last year and are now in rented accommodation. Our stumbling block is selling the business - not easy. To switch on the visa we have to be in Australia by 10th December so we are hoping we can sort things out by then. If not, we will consider switching on the visa and coming back to the UK to complete the sale of the business. We haven't started looking at the moving process yet so, yes, lots to do. Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if we are mad or not but after years of travelling back and forth to Australia, we have finally decided to make the move to Brisbane at the end of this year on a parent visa. Although we have a good life in the UK.....we love playing golf, walking, cycling and going to the gym, the family draws us to Australia....pretty scary stuff. We have an apartment in Spring Hill, Brisbane, so our first move will be there and then we plan to take our time to look for somewhere to settle. We like the feel of Samford Valley as its close to amenities, golf course and a train ride into the city but would like to look at other areas. Any advice would be gratefully received. Roz
