Hi all, I have lodged an EOI this week and since some members of this forum are really good at helping ppl out i thought i might ask this question. what are the chances of being invited to apply for 189 visa, my occupation is 261311 the application was lodged this week with 60 points?

Hi guys, After looking at the report that came out for 10th of March the occupation ceilings looks like it has gone mental. For example, last time (mid March) I checked 2613 occupation, 3681 places were taken out of 4800 and 2611 was over by 20-30/1380 ???? Not to mention that SOL has so many 0's now which is odd for this time of the year. Am I missing something or perhaps someone at DIPB got sacked and decided to hit the rest button before taking off :wink:

Well if that's how it works then I'm stuffed since my visa expires in a few months

I will definitely withdraw it or let it expire, thanks for your reply. Sorry for a silly question, but does that mean that when and if I'm being invited to lodge the application that's when they issue me a bridging visa?

Hi All, I found this forum on google so be nice since its my first post My problem is I have lodged an EOI but while I was double checking everything I realized I have made a mistake with paper work and over-claimed 5 points. My question is, can I cancel/withdraw my application without any consequences or how does it normally work for cases like that? Also, just curious to know, when lodging an EOI onshore do you get a bridging visa automatically because immi website is a bit vague regarding this? any help is appreciated
