Hey everyone, Just a quick query. My OH works in oil and gas. He has a mechanical background and about 10 years experience of shut downs and maintainance on and off shore. He's in more of a managerial role now but would be willing to go back on the tools, do anything really. I Keep reading really scary threads about there being a lack of jobs. Hes an off shore worker now but we wanted to stay together when we arrive and live together in an area where he gets work. We have our visa granted and are coming out to activate in 6 weeks. Coming back to UK to save a little more and hopefully secure work for us coming out. Perth has been the place we have always had wanted to go as we have a few friends there already and it just looks so pretty. But having said that we just want to make a go of it oz. In order for us to do this we need an income. Is Perth the place for oil and gas jobs or is there other places with industry where work is more accessible? A response would be great.
