:wink: It's the 143 Contributary Parent Visa which has not yet been granted. Just trying to get everything straight in my mind beforehand so that I know how much time I have after validation. Have only just been given the go ahead for medical and police clearance so a bit premature I know.

Hi, Thank you for responding to my query. It used to be that when once you'd received your permanent visa you had two years grace before having to actually make the move (obviously for people who had a property to sell this was a useful time slot) but I was told that this two year period had been shortened. Good luck with Tasmania it looks gorgeous in this month's Australia magazine.

Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone knows whether the rules have changed regarding time limitations from receipt of Visa to actual move, I think that it was 2years but someone told me recently that it's now less.

Thank you so much for taking the time to be so informative. Started proceedings to be with my two Daughters and two Grandsons in NSW with an organisation called Visacorp in Sydney. So far, so good, am expecting correspondence around May to do the Police clearance and Medical stuff, then it will be "all systems go" and I'll be plaguing you with allsorts of questions so, in advance, I'm saying thanks.
