  1. I returned to Sydney after 17 years in London, with Aussie hubby and 5 and 2 year old in tow. It’s been a great move for us. Our London flat sold at a good price and enabled us to buy a house near the beach and city in Sydney. The lifestyle is amazing and we have found a very British group of friends also with kids at the same school. We immersed ourselves in the school community and have kept busy; my husband is now an avid surfer. I miss my Uk friends dearly but I chat to them often and have come to terms with the idea that you can never replace people from your 20s and 30s - such an important time where friends are like family.
  2. Hi I'm an Aussie looking to return to Sydney after 18 years (and 2 kids) in London. I have countless concerns and panic attacks about it all which I won't bore you with but what I really want to know is for those who live in Sydney - where have you chosen to live exactly? I can't quite put my finger on anywhere with the same villagey feeling of community that we have in our area in London (Queens Park/Kensal). I'm a stay at home mum so it is of more importance than if I was heading to the city to work every day... We have our hearts set on Bronte but our bank balance has other ideas! Thanks!
  3. Hi all Sorry, I'm a bit late on the uptake here.... Am an Aussie looking to return to Sydney after 18 years (and 2 kids) in London. I have countless concerns and panic attacks about it all which I won't bore you with but what I really want to know is for those who live in Sydney - where have you chosen to live exactly? I can't quite put my finger on anywhere with the same feeling of village community that we have in our area in London. I don't want to be out in suburbia just yet! Thanks!
