THAT'S IT, IT'S TODAY!
I've just received my grant email 5 minutes ago. YES! YES! YES!
Congratulations! Is a lovely feeling when it comes isn't it!? Although our agent told us it was all fine, until you get it there's always that little bit of doubt!
-
Got it! My wife received her email a few mins ago!
All good things come to those who wait! Congratulations to you both. Its time to relax and have a little celebration before the stress of moving lands! Xx

What is this 100 that people keep speaking of..?
The permanent visa rather than the temporary visa! Subclass 100.

Hey,
We applied in October 2014 and since our initial response we have not heard from our CO.
Planning on calling up once we hit the 10month mark if we haven't heard anything
Will keep all posted!!
Hopefully they won't keep you waiting too long now. My grant came through on Wednesday (9 months, 2 weeks and 6 days) after my application!
Where and when are you heading to Australia? Xx
-
That's awesome news - congratulations! Who was your CO?
CO was DP. Good luck.
-
My wife applied October 6th last year, which means next Thursday will be ten months. So hoping we're near our grant date!
My application went in on 6th October too. I received my grant yesterday. Hopefully you don't have to wait much longer! Xx

Ann WOW Jaclyn that is great news. And straight to 100 double celebrations ,crack open that bubble you have had on chill, so what are the plan of action now then x
Save money, spend time with family and leave on 11th December! Can't wait! xx

Isn't it weird how we can all be so ecstatic for you, yet we have no idea who each other is! I really am, the strain and struggle of this process is so tough. The day we get ours granted I don't know what i'll do!!! Actually - that's a lie - I'll be booking the next available flight out to my boy!!!! I am so pleased for you )
To be honest, what we are doing tonight is telling our friends as we'd kept it a secret! Mixed emotions! [emoji16]

WOW! Congratulations, so pleased for you! Also, as you were 3 days ahead of my application, let's hope I'll have something to celebrate soon, too. Out of interest, who was your CO?
Once again, congratulations!
Thanks, emotions are running wild.
CO was DP.

Its all gone quiet again...
Are they getting for some more grants early August????
Now that would be nice!
-
I know! Small world, eh? [emoji2]
Spire didn't answer the phone when I rang wanting an appointment (!), so I went to Medmigration in Manchester instead; they were very good, and told me much the same as Spire told you, which is good to hear!
Exciting, isn't it? It's 10 months for us on 9th August, so hopefully not much longer to wait!
Also, PJd2628, thanks for your warm welcome and good advice, too.
Hi Croker, I'm just 3 days ahead of you in the line. Its been a long 9.5 months but worth it once the visa comes through I'm sure.
I had no inclination that my medical was okay but I was told by my visa agent that no news is good news! Good luck. Xx
-
Hopefully it will be your turn soon Jaclyn Hayes good luck x
I've got everything crossed now!
It's like waiting to be hung! Xx
-
Will be having a drink or two, just wish my better half was with me to celebrate.
That must be hard ?
I'm dreading Rich's flight arriving. He's leaving a few weeks before me and our little boy, that's going to be hard enough. I'm lucky he's here with me through it all. Xx
-
Thanks Jaclyn.
Not sure when I leave yet, just a few things to tidy up here but aiming for September.
There are exciting times ahead for all us Poms, I'm looking forward to hearing from people once they land and find their new paths!
Ooohhhhh... come on DP, a few giddy kippers in our house tonight!
Crack open the bubbly PJd2628... cheers! Xx

Ok guys, so i sent off an email to my CO at 11:25 this morning asking for a general update considering we are at 10 months on Sunday.

I have just agreed to use John Masons. They were very competitive in price but just offered more info and advice than the other 2 companies I got quotes for.

Hi all, something that might give a little hope. I'm in Aus on a tourist visa, been waiting it out alongside hubby, received my depart for grant notice today. That's just shy of 11 months since I applied, and I was quoted 10-14months. I'm going away in 2 weeks anyway so my CO said its fine to wait until then. if I didn't have that trip planned I'd be out of here and back finalised quicker. I'm not all that sure what to do with myself at the moment. He is at work so I haven't even told him yet...!
Who is your CO MrsL?
Congratulations, and luckily planned trip too!

Slowly going nuts! My patience is wearing thin now... and the bottle of bubbly I have in the fridge is going to be lucky to survive the rest of the week!
I hope that DP doesn't make me wait too much longer. ?
-
Come on DP... Give us a break.
I'm going crazy, I know I haven't reached the 10 month marker quite just yet but I've been a really good girl this year and it's my other half's birthday today. We could open the champers and celebrate all in one!
Pfft... anyone else checking their emails about a hundred times a day?! Lol
-
Whoooo makes it all more real doesn't it jaclyn booking the flights, who you going with ?
Flying with Etihad. competitive prices but very good departure and arrival times! Can't wait now. Xx
-
Flights booked! Woop woop! Now just waiting for the visa. Xx
-
We were quoted 10-14 months. Just hoping now it's nearer to 10 than 14. Not seen many visa grants from DP for a long time so he must be due to send them all out on the 1st July [emoji120] [emoji1]
Let's hope so PJd2628! I'm bored of waiting now. Xx

13 weeks to go...
Said goodbye to our household belongings last Wednesday, very strange but exciting feeling!
Job secured with an agency, what a relief!
