  1. PR approved! Day 100. My timeline for the record:

Nomination and visa application submitted decision-ready, via MA, at Parramatta: 18 November 2013

    Nomination approved: 25 February 2014

    Visa approved: 26 February 2014

No contact from DIBP at any point in the process.

Thanks very much to all of you here. This thread a board were a great help to my sanity throughout this horrible wait. My thoughts are very much still with those of you waiting and I wish you all good news ASAP.

  2. Congrats! Thats awesome, I take that to mean that they are dealing with DR applications still with priority. I can't find any commentary to say that the DR scheme has been scapped although everyone is talking about it

thanks, Haley. a bunch of people who applied later than I did were approved last week, so i really have no idea if DR means anything. but here is the news about DIBP ending DR applications, note there's another email from DIBP in the comments here:

  3. I know its frustrating ,me and my mate we applied same day on 6 dec 2013 ens 186 transition stream in parmatta ,and now his case has been allocated to co and his co asked for more documents from his employer hope he will submit today but I havenot heard anything yet hope some news soon and also I heard that pramatta has transferred most of their cases to melboure and Perth office those who belongs to October

yeah, last week i saw a bunch of people who had applied after me had their PR approved. i wish there was some sort of indication of how DIBP approached these. from talking to my MA, it's clear he has no idea but I don't think that's his fault. DIBP said they were scrapping decision-ready in favor of processing applications in the order in which they were received, but they are clearly not doing that. i can't believe they are processing December applications when October applicants are awaiting COs. baffling...

  4. Hi Everyone,

Finally after 10 long years, I now have in my hand Australian PR :)

    here is my timeline;

Worked with Company for 2yrs on Visa - 457 (completed on 18/08/2013)

It took some time for MA, Myself and Company to prepare all the documents, but time spent preparing all those documents was worth it.

    Nationality - Indian

    MA - Fragoman

Applied for ENS186 via Transition Stream

29/10/2013 - VISA and Nomination Lodged - MA Decision Ready (Contact me if you want to know list of document)

12/02/2014 - VISA and Nomination approved (no request from IMMI officer for additional documents)

I heard from HR that they applied for some other person two weeks before me and it was approved 2 weeks before me as well.

My recommendation - make sure you upload all documentation including Form 80 and Medical at the time of application, this will reduce the time wasted due to additional documentation request from Immi Officer.

Also apply for Nomination and Visa at the same time if you know your company has applied for Nomination in the past and it was approved.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any more information.

    It's time to celebrate :)

    Cheers,

    Imran

congrats, Imran! just curious, which office did you submit your application to? thanks

  5. How do you view the progress online? My lawyer submitted everything for me, would he need to provide me login details? 1st Nov lodged decision ready and nothing yet :(

Panicking as my company might be being bought over

hi glenn, this was the case for me. my lawyer submitted everything and it's all in his immi account. my lawyer, understandbly, wouldn't give me his log-in details, but i write him at least once a week and ask him to check it for me. and the news is always....nothing. sigh

  6. Hi all

Been following this thread ever since we first applied for PR and have found it a huge help. I'm extremely excited that today our 186 visa was GRANTED!

    Here are the important bits

Lodged application and employee nomination together: 25th October 2013

Visa office lodged with: Paramatta via MA

    Decision ready application

All necessary documents submitted at time of lodgement including medical and everything else they ask for

No word from a CO until....

Visa approved: 30th January 2014 via Melbourne (which struck me as a little odd)

So it took almost exactly three months from end to end.

All the best to those waiting, keep the faith. Happy to answer any questions anyone has about the process.

congrats, snowjunky! just curious, was your 186 direct-entry or transition stream? thanks
