1. Hi everybody. I just wish to give you a fast update. I have been invited as General Accountant by NSW on 18th March 2016 and submitted my documents for State Nomination on 20th March 2016. Today (18th Aprill) I am still waiting for NSW's response. My details are in the signature.
2. Hi CaptainC, Could you please confirm that this method is still valid also for 190 visa? I have a lot of documents to be uploaded in my on-line application for 190 VISA and - if possible - I want to avoid to waste money for certifying documents which can be scanned in colour. Another question: if the original document is issued only in black&white (i.e. a colour version does not exist), the scan needs to be certified before the uploading? Thank you in advance for the support !
3. Thank you, Serg! Do not worry: NSW has a clear policy. First criteria are the points, second criteria is the IELTS score, third criteria are the years of skilled working experience. I am sure that the next round will be your moment !!! Good luck !
4. Problem solved, mates ! INVITED TODAY BY NSW !!!!
5. Let's wait... ! In the meanwhile I have a question: apart NSW, could I add other States in my EOI for the State Nomination purpose (for 190 visa)? I understood that other States/Territories require special conditions. Which are these "special conditions"?
6. Hi everybody! It seems that only a few accountant were invited for 189 visa on 9th March round. Maybe only 50 or 70 invitations were sent, and only those with 70 points were invited. Do you think that accountants with 65 points (65 + 5 with State Sponsorship) should hope in a nomination by NSW for 190 visa?
7. Hi. Thank you for the link to those documents. It seems very interesting and the opinion of CPA opens the future to the hope. You have a private message with my email. From my point of view, I rely heavily on NSW nomination for the purpose to obtain fastly the visa. For me 190 or 189 is the same... Are you in 190 list as well ? I am Italian and you?
8. Hi UAtoAU. I would be curious to see the documents you are speaking about. I also have another question for everybody: I remember that it exists a spreadsheet where you can monitor the sponsorships/nomination issued by NSW. It is not an official source of the Australian Government: it is made by people who lodge an EOI and then update such a spreadsheet with dates of invitation, grant, etc... Does any body remember where I can find the above spreadsheet? It was something like a Google Docs....
9. Dear Captain, I really appreciate your "prediction service" ! My data are: 1. ANZSCO code: 221111 2. Occupation: ACCOUNTANT (GENERAL) 3. Points score: 65 4. Date of submission of the EOI: 7th February 2016 Thank you in advance!
10. You're right! I will wait for official statistics before to state that it's a "good news". And what about 190 invitations from NSW? Where can I find other threads where people discuss about the 189/190 matter for accountants?
11. Hi Everybody ! Any further news for accountants (also from other forums)? Other invitations after the EOI lodged on 22nd September 2015 mentioned by Serg? Have a nice Friday ;-) !
12. Hi everybody. This is an excellent news! So, what do you think about the possibility to be fastly nominated by NSW for 190 visa? Given that the queue of accountants for 189 visa is moving, there is more space for a nomination by NSW with a base of 65 points + 5 points for nomination? Another question about the SKILLSELECT INVITATION ROUND of 3rd FEBRUARY 2016:

[TH]Points[/TH] [TH]Description[/TH] [TH]Points score[/TH] [TH]Visa date of effect[/TH]

2211 Accountants 65 3 August 2015 4:35 PM

What does it mean that the "Visa date of effect" is 3 August 2015 4:35PM ? Have a good day!
13. Yes, I know. I have 10 points for IELTS (at least 7.0 in each component). I confirm my global points ;-) ! The receipt of my EOI states that I am at 65 points for 189 and 70 points for 190.
14. Dear Ua to AU, I am in your same situation. I lodged today my EOI and hope to obtain an invitation for 189 or 190. In particular, for 190 VISA I can claim 65 + 5 points (I am looking for the NSW nomination) and have 8.0 IELTS overall (see details in my signature). Let's keep in touch in this thread, so we can have a better understanding of what we should expect in the next months. Do you agree? IELTS Academic Passed 21/03/2015 (L8.0 R9.0 W7.0 S7.0 Overall 8.0); ANZSCO 221111 Accountant General; Skills Assessment (CPA) Positive 05/02/2016; EOI Lodged 07/02/2015 (65 Points for 189, 70 Points for 190 with NSW); Waiting for Invitation
15. Hi. I want to share with you my short unlucky story about my CPA skill assessment, as Accountant (General) - code 221111. Just a week ago I got a negative outcome for the above skill assessment, due to the lacking of the mandatory core knowledge called "Accounting Theory". CPA recognised that I have all other knowledges (both mandatory and optional) and that I met all other requirements! Now, since 1st July 2015, the rules have been changed: the "Accounting Theory" knowledge does not longer exist, because it is included in the "new" competency area called "Financial Accounting and Reporting". In addition, the difference between mandatory and optional knowledges has been cancelled: today it is necessary to achieve 7 of total 9 competency areas. Given that "Accounting Theory" is part of a new competency area that I already have passed in my previous skill assessment, do you believe it could be possible to ask for a re-assessment by CPA - under the new rules - where the lacking of "Accounting Theory" could be ignored because covered by competencies of "Financial Accounting and Reporting"? As an alternative, I could apply for a new skill assessment by ICAA (always under the new post-July rules and with the new competency areas, without the "Accounting Theory"). In this case, it could also be useful to show a certificate of good standing of my accounting body (where I am a member since April 2009). I hope to receive some good ideas from you. I read that Mr. Alan Collett is an accountant colleague and that he is a member of ICAA: maybe you know how ICAA manages these new rules. Excuse me in advance if my English is not perfect: it is not my first language  !
16. Not yet. I am waiting for a reply within october (i.e. after 12 weeks).
17. It would be great to receive an answer within 4 weeks... but is it possible? Maybe, your specific case is particularly "simple" to be examined?
18. Hi Auzidreamer, I also applied through VETASSESS for my skill assessment on 17 July 2014. I am using a migration agent and my documents were uploaded through the VETASSESS website. I hope to receive an answer before the half of October 2014 (i.e. within 12 weeks, which it should be the maximum threshold to obtain a reply). I would be pleased to compare my experience with yours, so we can know if our replies are due to arrive... PS. Excuse me if my English is not perfect... I am not mother tongue :embarrassed:
19. Hi all! What do you think about non-UK and non-AUS accreditations in accounting? More specifically, I am an Italian Chartered Accountant (so called "dottore commercialista") and my specialty is tax advisory. I am currently employed by one of the Big4 and I have five years of experience in local and international taxation. I want to move to AUS and I am going to attend two courses in australian commercial law and taxation law. Do you think that getting a job in the tax field will be difficult for me?
20. Hi everybody. I am an Italian Chartered Accountant and Legal Auditor. I have a 5 years University Degree (3 years bachelor + 2 years master's degree). I am enrolled in Italian professional registers of Chartered Accountants (so called "Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti" ) and Legal Auditors (so called "Registro dei Revisori Legali" ). Does anybody know if one (or both) of the above mentioned professional bodies could be recognised by ICAA/CPA/IPA as a "fully recognised overseas accounting body" in order to obtain a positive skill assessment suitable for a 189 or 190 vista? Best.
21. Good morning. I am Italian mothertongue and I need to improve my Writing and Speaking skills in order to obtain a higher score in the Academic IELTS test. Unfortunately, for those skills, I am not able to evaluate my errors. While for listening and reading it is easier, because I can identify my errors comparing my answers with the right answers provided by the book. How can I better understand my errors in Writing and Speaking? Do you know somebody (or a website) who offers a "writing and speaking evaluation service" for IELTS purpose, who could help me to improve my score?
22. Hi Everybody. I write from Italy, where I work as senior tax accountant for one of the "Big Four" Companies of Advisory and Auditing. I am trying to obtain a skilled visa (subclass 189 or 190) in order to migrate to Australia with my girlfriend. I hope to find here a great help and nice people. Excuse me in advance whether my English is not perfect: I will improve it! Regards!
