Is it possible to arrange a rental from the UK or do we actually have to be in Perth before we can arrange rentals? And can somebody take me through the process, ie what's required ?

Folks or should i say G'day, Help!!!, This has happened all very suddenly, I am moving to Perth in Feb along with with my Wife and three kids (8y/o, 6y/o and 3y/o) I will be working in Hay St, so looking for any recommendations of areas to rent close by with decent schools. We wont have a car so nothing to far away. Lookign at a max budget of 650AUS a week but the cheaper the better. Any advice?
