rang the city council last week and they told me there are a few spotts left in March's ceremony.mostlikey, it'll be April.

they also suggetted me to call them once I received my approval letter. They might be able to do something to squeeze me in March.

I should get my letter this week. I'll update it once I get an answer from them

We applied on line and supporting documents handed in at the Melbourne office on 20 November 2014, I rang the Citizenship office today just to check that they had received all the documents needed which they confirmed they had received them. She suggested that if we haven't heard from anyone in a months time then to call again.

We are hoping to go back to the UK for a holiday in June/July so we're keeping our fingers crossed that it comes soon. (we are not required to take the citizenship test).

 

UPDATE.

Received letter saying that we had been approved for Citizenship 21 Jan 2015

Received letter with date of ceremony 23 Jan 2015

Ceremony date 19th Feb 2015 at Kingston City Hall (Melbourne).

Honestly, only felt excited for 10 seconds. Life still has to move on. Still has to turn up to work tomorrow, pay the bills and etc.

I'm living in Melbourne at moment. My next biggest thing is moving to Perth after the new year. I've been living in Mel for more than 6 years and I don't know anything about Perth or WA. It's gonna be a massive challenge for me.:frown:

Maybe you Perth folks can give me some advises. such as which suburb is better for living......

My case has been allocated to a CO today. The CO asked MA for Form 80 and some more information for the nomination (not too sure what exactly). One advise, get your form 80 ready just in case so when you MA get back to you, you can send it straight away. I know it is not required all the time but just in case, you will save time. I didn't and it took me ages tonight to go through and fill everything. I will keep you updated as soon as I hear anything. PS: If you have a partner fill out two Form 80. Wish me good luck

hi guys i applied 187 visa in september 2012.

got case officer in may 2013 ask for medicals and pcc

and form 80 ,submitted all document in june

till now no news call immi few times same answer still in progress

so frustrating ..

My MA told me it normally takes only a few days before granting the visa once the e-medical has done.

My student's visa was granted a few days after the e-medical. Same as my 485 visa.

You did the e-medical in May and still no news!?!

That really not fair when I see people who lodged after have already been granted their visa!!! Derek Wang, where did you lodged your application? Parramatta or Perth?

no idea mate! MA did everything for me.My MA is in Perth,My employer is in Perth and My RCB is through WA. I'm assuming mine is through the Perth office.

The nomination was approved on last Wednesday(04/12/13) and The CO asked for e-medical on the same day afternoon.

I did my e-medical on this Tuesday(10/12/13).

I'll keep you guys posted if anything happens.

Has anyone lodged RCB in November and got approved ？？？？？ Perth Office .

My RCB was lodged at mid June this year and got approved at 3rd of August. It took about 6 weeks. FYI, Perth Office.

Hello guys, any idea of what Melbourne PSE upto? My DRC application was lodged 26 weeks ago. No news yet.

I lodged mine on 06/08/13. nomination was approved yesterday(04/12/13). got a letter from CO on the same day asks for e medical.

I m assuming they have started August's cases now:)

RCB is satisfaction of employer nomination condition from state government. RCB outcome aids in immigration in making decision. Nomination is final decision from immigration

yes!!

I reckon thats a good sign if CO asked for medical. Means file been looked at. Not far from finalisation after they receive requested docs. I also reckon that IF the case tend to be refused, they wont ask for any additonal docs but straight refusal instead.
