  1. thanks again everyone for the feedback, FP215 I am eligible for 189/190 visa however I would prefer to apply through the construction estimator route which I have been advised is a skill level 2 which requires a job offer therefore would like to go over there and meet prospective employers, I could possibly apply via the qs route which is level 1 on the sol, however the last 6.5 years I have worked as a construction estimator which is similar however worried when verifiying the job skill the assessor may decline my visa.
  2. does annyone know, Is it possiple to work in austalia on a working/holiday visa, and then change to a skilled 189/190 visa if i meet the criteria? ideally i would like to fly over find/start a job and gain sponsoprship from the emloyer and bring the family across
  3. thanks I think I might be ok with the qs option as the description on sol closely matches my job role, just trawling LinkedIn and Facebook trying to find the 2 estimators who I worked with in the past who are now in perth thanks again for ally your help, good luck in Adelaide
  4. thanks I am hoping for Perth however will go were the work and sun is, was hoping to come across august/September 2014 with the family, do you no if a working holiday visa would affect a skilled visa 189/190 application was hoping to go over a little earlier to secure a job role and do some research before bringing the family across sorry for all the questions ha ha

  6. thanks adam, yes didn't notice that the construction estimator role at when reviewing the job skills, perth is my preferred option.
  7. thanks for quick response, just reposted as I realised I was in the wrong forum, I am 30 years of age and have 14 years construction experience, 2 years practical bricklayer, 3 years quantity surveyor, 8.5 years estimator, my highest qualification is a bsc quantity surveying which I completed part time during work, I completed this 7.5 years ago.

New member would be very grateful to hear from anyone who can advice how to apply for a skilled visa if you are a senior construction estimator, cant see the job role on the skilled list however know estimators have went via the skilled visa however lost touch with them, I have a bsc in quantity surveying thanks :wacko:

I would be grateful if anyone could advice how to apply as a senior construction estimator via the skilled visa route do I need to do this via quantity surveying option as construction estimator is not on the list however I no senior estimators who have emigrated however have lost touch thanks 1st post of possibly may:wacko:
