Fab thanks-il take that on board. Filling out my next application tomorrow! When you say grade 1 and 2 what would they be advertised as? Iv just seen hp3 and hp4?

Hi Rhian Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I contacted an employer today who has 5 positions vacant. He basically said he wouldn't exclude anyone from applying but it would be problematic to recruit me! I think I must have applied for 20 jobs in th last year (the majority of them admittedly when I was in the uk) but i have not heard a single thing back. I have 5 years experience in the uk and am familiar with recruiting pple back home so have a fair idea about how to write an application. Just don't know what I'm doing wrong! Do you have any advice about writing my résumé/cover note other than what's asked of me in the advertisement! At this rate I can't see me ever getting a job thanks again

I have been in Australia a month now with my husband and 2 young children. I came on a skilled independent visa 129. I'm having trouble applying for jobs because of not being registered with AHPRA. Iv been told to become registered I need a job offer but no one will employ me unless I'm registered! Help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Gemma

hi Charl, I found your post interesting and very true! I see that you are a nurse and just wondered if you have looked into work at all yet? I'm an OT and finding it difficult to get work due to not being fully registered with AHPRA and needing an employer to carry out a 6 month audit on me. is it the same for you? My husband and I have been here a month. I have a 3 year old girl and 1 year ole boy. Also do you know of any kids clubs in the maroochydore area that you could recommend? Thanks gemma x
