  1. Thanks, that's what I always thought, then I heard 6 months from visa grant and Someone on here said they had 5 weeks from grant to date to arrive.

Were not applying for nursing registration until visas granted so that if we don't get them we haven't wasted yet more money if we fail our Medicals. I will keep hopeful in the year. We will be doing the Medicals around October. Does anyone know if the Medicals can be done on Saturdays? We will be going to Manchester.

    Thanks x

  2. Yes we feel we have to try or we will always wonder. But our medical problems are not simple unfortunalty, both quite complicated.

My partner has old MH issues no longer a problem and now chronic back issues with a spinal cord stimulator fitted. Working full time so that should help our case. On strong painkillers which we would have to pay for but she would be likely to need to be under a pain consultant incase she has problems with her implant.

I am stil being monitored for a small melanoma removed no problems since it was removed 3 yrs ago. (Don't judge I know it may seem daft going to a hot sunny climate!)

  3. My partner and I are going it alone. No probs so far we can't afford £5000 for an agent. But we both have medical issues and it's heart breaking to think we have to spend £3800 for visas plus £1000 for both Medicals to possibly be refused. Am I right in thinking there is absolutely no way I can get any idea of medical yes or no before applying for the VISA?

    thanks

  4. Ok done some more digging. I need to apply to ANMAC before going to the magistrates as there is a cover letter I need. Ielts done and NMC pin sent off already. I have my Uni certificates and transcripts but what is the syllabus? Isn't that the same as the transcript?

    argh!

  5. Not sure if this helps or if anyone can clarify for me. I am just getting a reference from my current band 7, not seen anything asking for or about history from HR! I have been with my current employer for 8 years so any previous experience I am just putting in a covering letter.

  6. Lol yes yes yes thats right..no ielts needed for ahpra and she doesnt need anmac if she is not main applicant and u are not claiming partner points on the visa :) she just needs to register with ahpra and provide proof of at least 5years being taught in english

Sorry Lorna I didn't doubt your advice just needing as much double checking before Sarah didn't turn up to her IELTS!
