  1. My point - speaking from a psychotherapeutic professionals perspective - is the fact that there ARE jobs for psychotherapists in Australia. And that Psychotherapist IS on either the SOL or CSOL. However, if you have a job offer and your occupation is on the list, I'd say go for it - and good luck! Bearing in mind the limited info I myself have about gathered about moving to Australia(!) I agree with NickyNook and Pumpkin.
  2. Hi mdonna1975, is he a qualified psychotherapist?

    EOI question

Hi Ozmaniac, Thanks for the reply. The claiming points for work experience: Isn't that just for the assessing body (like VETASSESS)? I've got it in my head that when doing an EOI, for the past year I need to be in paid employment for at least 20 hrs per week - not sure if that's right though.....?

    EOI question

Hi All, Quick question: When doing the EOI, do I need to be employed for a certain amount of hours per week, i.e. 20 or 40hr/fortnight? Think I saw this mentioned somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find where it was...... Thanks
  5. Hi Bryon, Trust me when I say I feel your pain.... Firstly, are you doing the General or Academic?
  6. Hi - Did you have to travel across London just to do the speaking test? I'm terrified of sitting the IELTS - it's the writing that's got me!
  7. Ah, I had forgottten about SOL/CSOL.Thanks for the replies and your thoughts.I know where to come if I have any more queries!
  8. Hi Everybody! I'm new to all of this, so please be gentle..... I've been looking through past posts and there seems to be lots of really helpful info out there. I'm getting confused: Could someone explain the difference between a 189 and a 190 visa. From what I can tell, the 189 is state independent, the 190 is state sponsered. Is this correct? If so, does that mean under a 189 you can live anywhere in Australia, whilst the 190 you have to live in a specific state for 2 years (so long as my occupation is on the list) Thanks
