1. He sounds like exactly he guy we need! Thanks Jodi, would be brilliant if you could pass his details on.
2. I thought as much! Thanks for letting me know Good luck with whatever you decide!
3. The occupation is a painter and decorator. Currently on the lost but like you say we are stressing in case it comes off! I think your right and we need to cut our losses.
4. Hey CW, The only help I can offer you on your dilemma is that my parents moved over in 2008 in their 40's. Whilst my mum loves it, my dad really wishes they had stayed in the UK. And they are definitely much worse off financially over there. My hubby and I are still desperate to go though so it can't be all bad! May I ask how you got the job offer please? Was it through your job in the UK? Or did you search and find it yourself. My husband and I are starting to look into 457's as his skilled trade visa is taking forever. But we can't find the jobs! Thanks in advance Carissa
5. Sorry bingo I missed you out when replying. yes we have been working with him for about 18 months my husband said. I got it wrong when i said 2 years! The things i sent him on the 6th august were just recent invoices. Thats all he keeps asking for. We had an initial checklist and we provided him with all the evidence he needed from it. But since then he just keep asking for recent invoices.
6. Hi Bungo, thanks for getting back to me and for your advice. Do you have any idea on where people search for sponsorship jobs? As any job site we are looking at (trovitt etc) just keeps coming up with these recruitment companies that charge mega bucks. $47,000 was the cheapest one :err: I know, it alarms me too hence coming on to see if anyone has actually done it, hubby is getting so desperate now he's willing to try anything.
7. Hi everyone, We are a young family desperately trying to get to the Sunshine Coast to join my mum, dad and sisters. We are looking for some advice on the 457 visa and hoping to hear from people who have gone to oz on it. We have been trying to do my husbands TRA application for the 189 visa for some time now and starting to get despondent with our (pretty useless!) agent that has taken our money and done nothing for us - see my other thread! We were watching wanted down under the other day and a family were trying to do the same thing as us with the wife as the main applicant on the 189 visa but then the husband found job sponsorship and he left a few weeks later and the rest of the family followed. Its got us thinking off another way in so we have been looking into sponsorship. We are aware that its really hard to do but has anybody found a job themselves and got sponsorship? Or has anybody used one of these recruitment agencies to do it? They have massive fee's ($47,000!!!!!) but guarantee a job, and if you were to lose it, get you another. Also how does it work with permanent residency afterwards? As I have read conflicting information. Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise at all! The Summers x
8. Hi Kirsty, sorry for the delay in replying. I have no idea! Is the vetassess what your hubby did? We thought you could only do the TRA via an agent.
9. Hey Mazz, yes he had to do the AQF III which was 18 months ago now! He just keeps asking for more evidence but we have provided him with everything so now he keeps asking for recent invoices of works completed. getting so frustrated. Emailed him on the 6th asking for like the 7th or 8th time for a time frame of when it will be submitted and all he replied with was can i get your most recent invoice. Arghh!!
10. Hey kirsty. what website did he use to book his own trade ass test? thanks xx
11. Thanks Pom Queen, Iv checked the website, James is registered -

James Joseph Gordon Must Migrate DUNMOW ESSEX United Kingdom

12. Oh wow, so not long to go now for you then! The agent is called James Gordon. He just keeps asking for more information but when we ask for a time frame on when it will be submitted he doesn't reply. We are getting really frustrated but we have already paid out over £1000 so I don't want to go anywhere else. Arghh!! x
13. Hey Susan, firstly so sorry to hear you got turned down, that must of been awful for you my fingers are crossed for your appeal!! Can I ask how long it took you to get your TRA submitted? My husband is also a painter, he got his AQF III in December 2013, IELTS passed last June, but the agent still isn't submitting the TRA. We are getting so frustrated now, this has been going on forever it feels like! Look forward to hearing from you! x
14. Hi, has anybody used the agent James (Jim) Gordon from Just Migrate? We are in the process of doing my husbands Trade Recognition Assessment. Just wondering if the agent is genuine and if anyone has had a successful outcome with him? we started this process two years ago, we've paid him £1000, we have provided him all the info that he has asked for yet he will not reply and give us a time frame or any indication if he thinks my husband will pass TRA or not. I sent him an email on the 6th August with the last pieces of evidence attached and asked for a time frame again. Or if he doesn't think there is sufficient evidence how much longer my husband needs to work to get the evidence. All he has responded with today is an email asking for my husbands work history from the 6th august to today? he hasn't anwered ay of our questions yet again, starting to think he's leading us on and if we should be looking for a new agent and reporting the guy to MARA. Thanks in advance for any advice! Carissa and Theo
