Hi I am new to this site and was hoping I could get some advice please. Just starting looking into 189 OH is JIB approved Electrician (24 yrs exp). We have added up points and only seem to have accumulated 40 points, have I added this up right age 41 = 15 pts, work exp = 15 pts, education NVQ 3 = 10 pts. Just doesn't seem alot, have we waited too long to apply. I have spoken to emmigration office and we can get another 20 pts if OH scores over 8 across the board with IELTS test. Would you do TRA skills assessment test first. Plus how likely is it to collect 20 pts for IELTS when you have only been education to GCSE level? We are looking at settling in Perth. Any advice would be very much appriecated.
