What sort of tickets besides TRA do I need to get a job as an trade assistant, I know a couple who's moved out in the last 5 years, the husband got an apprentice on the mines as an electrician and that's a decent wage apparently, which is the trade I'd like to get into.

I've been thinking about an oz move for sometime but never realised how many steps there are to get it all complete and finalised, I know you need a TRA assessment and you can complete one over here in England, which I've read up is about $1000, ill need that before I apply for the EOI application, I didn't realise the mining sector was on a downer to be fair, are trade assistant jobs hard to come by ? I've seen on here you need a few month experience as an assistant too before you could head to college in Oz for the A license. Can you get a trade assistant job with just a TRA assessment form do you know? I'm just having trouble with on how's things will pan out once I'm out there and start looking for jobs, a place, etc... Hello, I'm currently a qualified electrician and have been in the trade for 6 years ( 3 year apprenticeship 3 years qualified ) and have achieved a NVQ level 3 in electrotechnical Technology's (buildings and structures) too BS;EN 7671 (2008) with experience in domestic wiring a a little industrial too. I would like to know where to start and what i need to do before i can apply do a EOI form as I would like to gain a permanent visa (subclass 189). I'm looking at moving to WA,Perth and hopefully pick up a FIFO job in the mines, either trainee or start again as an apprentice depending on wages. I know I need a TRA assessment before I can do anything. If anyone could point me in the right direction and give me some advice on the process on gaining a visa I would be grateful.
