Morning, I am wondering if there are any time served home bakers out here that are possibly looking for work in the Geelong region? There will potentially (for the right person) be an opening in a traditional home bakery setting, back to producing a range of fresh artisan products by hand (bread, savoury, pastries etc.) . Hi Peanig Sorry for the late reply i'm up to my eyes, yes we are moving to Armstrong Creek in Geelong and will arrive on Wednesday morning, thanks for the advice think we'll just rent when we arrive see if we can get a deal

Hi We will be landing in Melbourne on Wednesday 23rd October and need to rent a car to travel to Geelong to our accommodation, can anyone recommend a good value car rental company please, thanks Tracy

Hi Claire My nerves are wrecked! lol, we've decided that my husband is going to travel over first at the start of October and I will follow with the kids 2-3 weeks later, my husband is to look for a job as soon as he arrives as in his trade (he is a baker) we have heard that you really need to be there in person to secure employment, so where we live will more than likely be dictated by were he gets work. Thanks for your well wishes and I hope everything goes well for you and your family too. What age are your children? Mine are 12, 10 and 8.... I can't wait for the flights with them on my own :@ Tracy xxx

Hi Nick Thank you for your response, that is good to know that you were able to settle in so quickly, we both drive but I prefer not to and want to go somewhere with good public transport. I'll be in touch with more questions i'm sure thanks. Tracy

Hi, We have been granted our permanent visas and are looking to arrive in mid October, with a family of 2 adults and 3 children can anyone recommend any good sites to find suitable cheap short term lets in the Geelong area? Need to use this as a base for looking for permanent rental home etc. Looking to short term let for around a month to 6 weeks if possible. Thanks Tracy
