st kilda beach house? looks pretty good, close to base and about £5 cheaper than it p/n.

decided on st kilda in the end, it looks lovely and should be easier to get to CBD in the daytime than to and from st kilda for a night out. Plus it was cheaper! Thanks for the advice

Hello! I'm going to be in melbourne for a week in september and after a bit of research realised that I can either stay in the centre in the city or st kilda. Can anyone recommend where is better? I'm interested in seeing some of the sites and markets that are in the centre, but i've heard that many of the good bars and restaurants are in st kilda, and I do want to be near all the nightlife also! I know there is a tram between the two areas so i can easily get from one place to another, just want to hear any recommendations as to where to stay. Any specific hostels? Thank you!
