  1. I am from India not UK. Without a valid Visa (with stamp or without stamp) one cannot travel from airport to any country unless it falls under on arrival visa category. I have traveled to other countries on work visa but I never encountered this kind of situation before where i do not carry any document with me. Hence i am too skeptical about it and the process around it. More than that i am unaware of how it works when it is PR, because for work permit i just need to showcase couple of documents and that's it i am good to go out of airport. I am not sure how things work when its for PR and also the process might differ based on the home country. Hence I was looking for answers from all who have gone through it. If its UK, things might be different as it falls under common wealth countries (Austalia, UK, canada etc). Also lots of emotions are involved too in this as I would have to get it done without informing any one. @Tickled Pink - Appreciate your patience with my repetitive questions @others - Thanks for the responses.
  2. @Tickled Pink - My understanding - When I book a ticket and walk in to airport, At Immigration check they would ask where i am going and check for a valid visa ( As per New australian process, there will be no visa stamps in a passport ) So wouldn't they ask for a TRN number or Grant number to verify in there systems. Instead will they just scan my passport and retrieve them from there systems ? After local clearance i will board the flight and land at Australia... then what is the next process followed ?
  3. ok...guys guide me as to what I need to do and carry along when I am going for validating the PR ? When I have to travel from here, immigration in my country would validate why I am going and they will look for a document which says PR granted right ? So you mean to say that I can just book a ticket, hold my passport in hand and get onto the line at immigration department in Australia. That's all ? No other document is required ?
  4. Without the grant letter in my hand I will not be able to go get it validated right. Also i need to showcase that I am dependent of the primary applicant.
  5. I got your point, but the paper work and all related mails are under her control now after things became a bit ugly. Its hard for me to get thru and read them.
  6. @Tickled Pink - No Kids yet. I am not sure if i can get it validated first because she is a primary applicant and i am a dependent Before she gets it validated, I think i cannot. Above that, as i am a dependent applicant i guess i need to show the proof of relationship. When I do that they might cross verify whether the primary applicant has already got validated it or not. @rupert - I get your point I do not want to do anything illegal. I am just looking out for possible right ways to get it done. If i apply a fresh application, can I use the already approved PR as a reference and state that due to differences raised after PR got approved I am not willing to go with this application. Any other way where I can follow right approach and still get a PR for myself. I am really confused, I should have applied by myself long back and been a primary applicant instead of dependent. Things were all good at that time and I never thought I will come to this stage.
  7. Guys, I need your help again There has been lot of discussions happened lately between me and my wife and there have been few developments. Relationship has taken a ugly turn after recent family encounters and she has kind of taken a U turn about PR thing. Clearly stated that she isn't interested to validate it along with me and going to raise a request to remove my name from it. I want to move to Australia , what are my options now ? Please suggest...
  8. I am really very thankful for you guys to put some positive thoughts in me when I was about to take emotional decisions.
  9. Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks alot for all the suggestions. They really are helping me in taking a decision. Yes, I have made up my mind to take it but I am yet to discuss about this to my wife. But now the issue is to communicate it to her so that she doesn't take me wrong. trust me guys its so stressful to ask for help when you know that things are not working great wid each other. So many emotions
  10. One Query - If i am taking up PR and getting it validated, there will be no dependency on her ? Or is it like after taking up PR, I will be still termed as dependent for some period of time ? I read somewhere that after getting a dependent visa validated, one need to be in a relationship for at few months if not it will be cancelled. Is it that way ??
  11. You are making me think adonna. Thanks for those words. I hope you understand my situation, I am kinda emotionally doesn't want to go with it as i feel morally low to do that. But where as on the practical side as u stated the pointers i feel like taking it and dealing with my emotions later. Not sure how it goes, I surely would like to think again on what you said.
  12. Thanks for your replies. @Tickled Pink - Ya no one will know but my conscience will know. I do not want to have such a feel in me for life. @Lebourvellec - Thanks for the info, its a relief to know.
  13. @Lebourvellec - My question was to understand if i can apply a new Visa before the lapse of validation. @TickledPink - Morally i don't feel like considering that option instead I prefer to re-apply it by myself. I am eligible of applying PR by myself since I hold the required qualifications.
  14. One more qn. After I surpass the deadline and choose not to opt for the dependent PR. Can I apply for a PR by myself ( a new application ) ? Will there be any issue in accepting my application as I chose not to take the dependent one ? Is it possible to apply PR on my name before saying no dependent PR ? Will that work that way ?
  15. Thanks for the replies. It really helped
