  1. Yes its a 190. I read the form and at page 9 it details what the application requirements are. It does not mention passport as 1 of the requirements. Later in the form it says ' During the processing of your application you and all family members included in the application will need to satisfy identity requirements. The standard method for this is by using a current passport. The passport should be the passport you will use to travel to Australia if a visa is granted and should be valid for an adequate period (it is recommended this be at least 2 years). You should use this passport to evidence identity in connection with any aspect of this application. In particular, you will need to present your passport and those for all family members included in your application to the doctor when you have your medical examination. You will need to provide the department with a copy of the personal particulars page of the passport(s) and of any stamps or authorisations that amend these details (such as passport validity extensions). If you or any family member, do not currently hold a passport, or need to extend or renew a passport, please do so now and provide copies of the relevant pages.' So I read this to be you don't require 1 for the application but you do during processing. I appreciate that the form has been designed so as not to allow an application unless passport info is included . I thought I could use the old passports. on the sol thing I did ask an RMA a while back who's view was that the CSol was 1 list , but I see from a forum search that others disagree with that view. Diac says 'The Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL) is a single list of occupations that will replace the State/Territory Nominated (STATSOL), the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENSOL) and the Subclass 457 Skilled Occupation list.' difficult to know and a lot of money to pay out with the new charges if wrong. if anyone has any more views on these please let me know. Many thanks. Just trying to save a bit of money but need to get it right!
  2. Thanks again looks like we will just have to wait for new passports and pay the increased fees. More concerned now about the same sol. I had understood that as long as we were both on the same csol then that was ok. Anyone know for sure?
  3. Thanks for your help. I couldn't see anything in the diac website that said that passport were necessary for an application to be lodged, just that you had to have a current passport with 6 months validity recommended for the grant. On the sol thing 1 of us is on sol schedule1 and other on sol schedule 2, which together form the Csol. Does that mean we are on the same sol does anybody know? Thanks again
  4. Hi. We have received an invitation which is great, and we want to apply before the visa charges increase on 1 st. However our passports have expired. Can we apply using the details for old passports and then change them when we have new ones? Also when claiming the extra points for spouse skills does anyone know what the 'same sol' actually means? Our skills are both on the csol, which in my view is the same sol. But i have seen a few posts indicating that it means both skills should be on sol 1. Thanks for any help
