We sold everything to get to Australia to start a new life with My husband and three year old daughter. My husband was sponsored by a company and we went over on a 457 visa. However the working conditions were so poor and he was regally bullied and made to do all the work and mentally abused that we had no choice but to come back to the uk. We have nothing and now are struggling to get by. Is there anyone that can help us, Can a massive company really get away with destroying our family? And to top this off they are keeping his final wage and asking for nearly $2000 they say we owe them Please anyone any help or advise would be so amazing. x Amanda

Hi All!! :biggrin: I am all in a muddle to get a 457 Visa you need to have "travel Insurance" But all the insurance companies that I have spoken to all say that the policy will expire/void 24 hours after leaving Australian Emigration. And I don't think that will give me enough time to find and process for a medical card or to get private health insurance. I am so confused. I also don't have the traveling dates yet to set up insurances which I have been told I need. Please please if any one can shed any light on this. :wacko::arghh::wacko: Many thanks Amanda x

I am having a problem finding accommodation (cheaper than $500 per week) For myself husband and daughter, when we fly over we will have no home as the agents are saying that we need to view the properties first. Which is ok as I can book viewing's for just after we arrive but even staying in a caravan park in Mittagong NSW is $500 per week! Can anyone tell me what they did or offer me advice please!:err: Many thanks Amanda

:err: Myself, Husband and daughter are looking at moving to Shellharbour NSW and are in the process of interviews with sponsorship and visa 457. I can't seem to grasp the cost of living over there can anyone help, what is the average cost of living? including food, bills, insurances, transport?
