I am also waiting for updates. Since my health requirements are finalised on 25 May 2013, I have not received an update on my 457 application (Brisbane e457 Office)

Hi guys, I just want to update my timeline and visa status.

My visa was granted on the 14th of June 2013. So happy! Praise be to God!

Medical practitioners are required to do medical examination whether you belong to Low-Risk or High-Risk Country. If you had your medical within 1 year, that is still valid. However, if the CO will require you to do medical examination again, you have no choice.

My sponsorship and nomination still not yet approved, 8 weeks already. A little bit worried...

Wow! 8 weeks? It is overdue. Mine was approved after 20 days. Have you contacted the DIAC or your sponsor regarding this?

My visa application is being processed further today. Thank God!

Melbourne Office! Id give it an other couple of weeks before i'd start to get worried. Once the ball gets rolling its very quick!! Good luck!

Thanks for the reply ptw16! Actually, this week is the 3rd week since our health requirements are finalised. We are excited, while a bit worried, and looking forward to its approval next week. :arghh:

sorry for the delay in replying to you. Submitted all three applications, sponsorship_nomination_visa application, on the 24 April 2013. The case officer communicated with us regarding spon and nom on the 17 May 2013. We answered his questions and supplied more info the following day. Spon and nom were granted on the 28th May 2013 and our visa applications were granted on the 29th May 2013. Seeing as we did not use a migration agent I was very impressed with the Immigration Dept replying to us so quickly.

I think that you do not need this because UK and AU has an agreement or something on Medicare. Hence, you can use your UK Medicare in AU.

Been waiting for updates for about a week after our Health Requirements are finalised. Anyone who is in the same boat?

My oh has just had a message saying that 'Health Requirements have been finalised - application being processed further'.

 

It was the last bit the case officer was waiting for for the visa to be completed - does this mean the visa is imminent?

 

Hearts are in mouths over here. Keep on thinking there will be some spanner in the works to come...

 

Of course we will ask our CO but now he's in bed and is not the best for responding to emails!
