  1. Commonwealth Bank also, you can open the account online and transfer in as much as you want (at the exchange rate on the day) when you arrive here go to the bank with your passport and Visa and they'll give you your bank card from that point you can use the bank as normal transfers in/out payments etc. They recommend you deposit around $600 to keep the account up and running. Otherwise no hassles. Good Luck
  2. Don't know if you can wait but we are moving into our property end of July and will have lots of boxes available. How soon did you need them ?
  3. Thanks to everyone for their help, we have found a house in Sandhurst and will be moving in end of July.
  4. Thanks for your help, we're both in our mid 50's so no worries about schools. Just heard a few rumours about the surrounding areas not being too good. Anyway off to view a few places tomorrow so we'll see.
  5. Does anyone have any info on Sandhurst Golf Estate, what's it like to live there, what's the surrounding areas like etc. Would really appreciate some help, desperate to find a permanent home since moving to Melbourne. Thanks
  6. Know just what you mean
  7. Yes visited a few times and love it. We've also been told SE is best, but still not sure on areas there are vast differences in property prices. We're looking for somewhere around 45 mins to 1 hour maximum commute - not for me for hubby - he'll be travelling to Brunswick for work each day. I've checked out a lot of areas on street advisor and everyone has varying ideas. Would like to be close to cafe's restaurants etc, but don't want to be in the city, so any advice that is offered will be really appreciated. Thank you
  8. Big move I know, but looking forward to it. Will have to get the thermals out
  9. Hi everyone, I'm new here. Will be moving from Perth to Melbourne 1st week in June. Will be asking lots of question about areas, hope someone can give me some help.
