Hey mate, I am a plumber and have just compiled all me docs to send off. I am however going through an agency because they do it all for you, but at a huge cost. 2 £14450 instalments!! docs you need; trade set form (done online), certified copy of passport, 2 certified passport photos, certified copies of NVQ levels 2 and 3 certificates including any transcripts you may have, an employer reference or if likje me and your self employed, you need to type out a statutory declaration and get that certified, profit statements, SAS302 forms (kind of like a p60 and you get this from inland revenue and finally your completed VETASESS form. You can get your docs certified by a solicitor, not all forms need certifying but each and every certificate does. They do charge but its part of the process. I hope this helps you buddy.
