Hi, I am a PR but my parents visit me on a tourist visa. Although they are in good health they have medication to take. They can get a three month supply from their GP in Scotland however if they are here for longer than that they can get a repeat prescription from a doctor here but have to pay $70 consultation fee. Can they apply for a temporary Medicare card and claim some of the cost back? The reciprocal agreement between UK and Aus allows Australians to access medical care in UK free of charge.
