Yes I did mean as a carer...I'm not that thick I think you can train as a nurse in a care home!! But I don't know how different it is in Australia as here where I am now I'm doing my level 2/3 nvq in my care home so I'm wondering if that'll help when I go out or if its worth stopping here & doing nursing first

It's something I've thought about of course but its the timing and having to stay longer here...if I do my nursing here will it be the same as training as a nurse out there as I don't want to have to do it here then again out there!? Also in oz do they not train you up when you work in a care home like they do here as I'm thinking will that be a possibility

Yes I'm coming over on a WHV... I didn't think It would be but I contacted a few care homes in oz and a few told me that there is some care homes that do sponsor you but like you said i know it's not an in demand job in oz but I'm looking at moving permanently out here if I can but at the moment it doesn't seem possible

No seems every job is on there apart from a carer

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with advice on what qualifications I would need or how I go about being a carer out in Australia. I'm currently a carer here in the uk and in the next year to 2 years I'm looking at moving to oz but I want to carry on caring and if I can I want to get a sponsorship so I can stay! I would really appreciate anyone's advice, knowledge or experience ​thanks
