hi please can give me some information as i am being told so many differnet things..... me and my partner are thinking of emigrating to australia with our child and my daughter(9 years old Jan 2004), but when i approached her biological father about the idea he point blank shot me down about the idea saying 'no chance' he very rarely sees her (maybe once every 3 months if she is lucky, some stints have lasted nearly 7 months of no contact) and doesnt contribute financially do i need his permission or will i have to go to court and fight it or what would happen if i just took her without his consent as i know he doesnt have the money to pay solicitors and court costs and obviously there is no legal aid anymore, also what would happen if i took it to court and he couldnt afford a solicitor or court costs would it be granted in my favour??? i am just so mad he would deprive his daughter of a much better life over there for suchselfishiness and he couldnt even give me a reason why apart from 'shes just not' when he doesnt bother with her anyway, we would come back to england a few times a year anyway for him to see her as my partner has children here too which he obviously wants to see.
