Hi, From which country have you applied? Only High Risk country residents go through external checks...even if you have visited any high risk country in the last 10 years then you will go through the checks...

Hi Tasneem....your agent must have given you your evisa log in details...if you have the details then log in to your account and under name DIAC will mention 'that no medicals are required for this person based on the information provided to DIAC'. If this message appears then you have cleared your medicals and if the link to your organize your medicals still exists even after you have given your medicals then it means that your medicals have been referred.....hope this helps.... Your agent should share all the details with you.

Hi Tasneem.....I applied through an agent...No our agent did not get in touch with CO at all and our grant came to us directly as soon as we cleared our medicals...we did not even know we had a CO until end of 6 weeks....we only received just 1 email from our CO saying that our case is being handled by him/her. India too falls under high risk country but we do not go through external checks until unless we have lived/traveled to other high risk countries...your case might be delayed due to your external checks.....by the way have you cleared your medicals?

no never....we did not even know that we had a CO until our agent contacted DIAC after 6 weeks of lodging

We got our 'Golden Letter' today...exactly after 1 month of lodging our application...cant express our happiness... Wish others get a speedy grant too....:biggrin:

Not all CO's ask for form 80.....it depends on your CO....

And the waiting game continues....CO has not contacted for any further docs...so lets hope all is ok...

True..I have no info about my CO...my agent is handling my case and she/he has not contacted us for any documents further

Thanks Samulv for your faith that our medicals will be cleared and yes it is cleared today....You were right that it is referred at random and yesterday there was some technical glitch..now only need to wait for the 'Golden Letter'..hope we all get our grants soon now

Though both mine and hubby's medicals were all clear but we got referred as we belong to a high risk country..which country are u applying from and why was your hubby's medicals referred?
