  1. After my email last week from my CO saying my grant was on it's way I have finally received the actually grant email!!! :jiggy: I guess around 8 and half months.

I got granted the 100 as well which is great. i really wasn't sure as although we have been together for the time the CO asked for more evidence of us being together at the early stages which was difficult as we were in a shared house etc with not much in our names!!

Super excited! Now a couple of weeks of proper organisation before we go without having to worry about visa!!

Congrats as well to everyone else granted recently!!!

  2. Don't know if things are moving quicker, it will be 8 months tomorrow since I applied, still waiting :(

I am at the 8 month mark as well so just waiting and hoping! They did seem to be moving a bit quicker just before Christmas as some people were getting granted around the 7 month mark but maybe Christmas slowed things down a little!

Well hopefully soon! I don't fly until 9th March so still have some time but it would be one thing less to worry about!

  3. You won't hear from the panel doctor or your CO re your medical. This is normal. Its all done online and doesn't go to you. Even if its referred its a 3 month timeframe in referred medicals so you won't get anywhere. So long as things are ok medically, even if referred for review your visa should be granted within the time frame you have been given. Only if there is something of concern medically that will affect your visa application will you hear anything. You may be asked to take tests again or provide more evidence then. Was there something of concern for you during your medical? Or an ongoing medical condition? If not, don't worry about it, just sit tight.

Thanks for your response, that is what I thought would be the case! No nothing medical to worry about just heard horror stories from other people that documents were either never received by CO or were overlooked and therefore thought a follow up to confirm would be sensible to put mind at rest! Otherwise yes just looking forward to the waiting as have a few more months to wait yet!!!

  4. Hello all, I undertook medical on 2nd September and as I have not heard anything from the docs I make the assumption all is ok and these have been passed straight on to High Commission. Did anyone receive a confirmation that these had been received? I am thinking about emailing SV to check everything has now been received including medical a but don't want to appear pestering! Any tips on how long I should leave it before checking this?

    Thanks

  5. Hi, I finally submitted my partner visa application to London office and have been assigned a CO (SV) additional information was requested for evidence of a long term relationship and apply for a permanent visa instead of temporary. Has this ever happened to anyone else, we have only been married a year but together for 5, is this a good sign? I assume it is??

I was also requested not to have my medical until after August is this normal to have to wait?

when I came home today I have had my birth certificate, our marriage certificate and copies of photos cards etc returned. I assume this means that our application has been read and assessed as it is? Did this happen to any one else?

I was hoping the stress would subside once I handed the application in but now I am feeling paranoid and confused!

    any advice welcomed!

    thank you
