Just to add I have just looked on the TRA website and it states that Vettases are a recognised offshore assessor of general plumber. Does this mean I can put TRA as the assessor and use the Vettasses Reference? Im so confused, Haley ....

Hello, We have just received our state nomination and I am now trying to submit or EOI, however I have just reached the section where I update my partners chosen occupation which is General Plumber. W When I select "Vettassess" as the assessing authority it states that this authority is not associated with this profession? It only lets me select Trades Recognition Australia? are they the same body? How can this be when he has been given a successful outcome and Vettassess is a verified assessor of this occupation. I am really stressed out now as it cost us almost £2k for the assessment in total and we have been advised this is the correct authority to use. We only have another two weeks to submit the eoi and am extremely anxious over this. I hope someone can help us. Thanks :arghh::cry::cry::cry:

Hi everyone After less than four weeks we have finally received our state sponsorship outcome which was succsessful! I was under the impression that we automatically received an invite to apply for the actual visa ? Do we still need to lodge an eoi or is this step not neccessary. Hi there thanks for your reply. I have been having a look at rental prices and yes Beaumaris does look quite pricey! As we have two daughters we are looking to somewhere with a nice feel to it if that makes sense and I particularly like the look of Mentone its just difficult when you need to find good schools and you are clueless to the areas. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer now until we get a response from the state and we can really get cracking then, the waiting is so frustrating. Thanks Haley & Ben:smile:

Hi there, We have recently submitted our application to Victoria for state sponsorship to obtain a 190 visa. We ideally do not want to be too far away from CBD as I will more than likely need to travel here for work. Ben however is a Plumbing and Heating Engineer, so location is not so much of an issue for his work arrangements. We like the look of Beaumaris, Mentone, Parkdale etc but can only do so much research and real opinions would be really appreciated. As we have two daughters aged 11 and 9 we are hoping to live close to good schools and reasonably close to the beach. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
