  1. I put in my ACCA qualification as Bachelors degree (Other) and the course name was put in as 'Member ACCA'. I think your course name entry is alright as well.
  2. Hello everyone. Just a few EOI related questions that I seem to be stuck at. I'd really appreciate it if somebody could clear them up. Education: I'm an ACCA member and have had my qualifications assessed by IPA as equivalent to a Bachelors degree. Some of the questions popping into my head are as follows: - Should I state my educational qualification (ACCA) as equivalent to a Bachelors degree (Other) or a Bachelors degree (Business, IT etc.) because the IPA guys simply stated it as a Bachelors degree? - Do I need to list all secondary and post secondary qualifications including any credits I received from the ACCA for prior learning? I mean do I start off with my GCE O AND A Levels? - I have recently been awarded a Bachelors degree by Oxford Brookes University (UK) but including it would mean again getting it assessed and I don't think it'd help me in my points tally, so can I just skip it? - Is it me or does the EOI form character limit really restrictive cos I can't even put in the full form of ACCA and the reference number provided by IPA? Experience: I have been working in the same department for more than a decade in one organization. Although I have had my designations changed (Officer -Internal Audit officer, Sr. Officer -Internal Audit, AVP, VP) but my core responsibilities have not altered a great deal. - Do I need to list down all the different designations (which would have similar responsibilities in the employer reference letter subsequently) or should I just put in a single entry with my latest designation for the entire time period? - I understand my experience won't get me any points as I only have 1 year of post qualification experience but I still think the experience section should include all work experience - both pre and post qualification. Apologies for the long post and would appreciate a quick response to get my EOI submission going.
  3. This is with reference to the above form. -In the Education section of the form they ask you to provide the From and To dates in respect of secondary school education. I'm not sure what period to put in there because I have my GCE O and A Level certificates but they are only relevant to the years in which I sat my O and A Level exams. I think secondary school education covers a much longer time period so I'm a bit puzzled as to what dates I should put in there. -Do I need to provide certified copies of syllabus documents in respect of my educational qualifications? My understanding is that only the certificates and transcripts need to be certified. I would really appreciate some sort of clarification to resolve these two issues.
  4. Would there be a problem if I opted for the Accountant (General) occupation instead of the Internal Audit role? They're not entirely different and my internal audit role does involve review of financial information. Its just that all of my experience in the past 10 years is an internal auditor even though I'm an ACCA member and a CIA member.
  5. I don't have any experience as an Accountant (General) either as I've been in internal audit for almost a decade now. However the VETASSESS requirements for assessment are rather daunting IMO. The IPA form and assessment mode seems far more simpler to me and I'm wondering if I can change my occupation to Accountant (General) from my current internal audit role in my EOI.
  6. Hello everyone! I have been working in internal audit for the past 9 years and prior to that I was with an audit firm for my training period as required by the chartered accountancy institute. I couldn't wrap up the ACA due to some personal issues. However I did start the ACCA with my internal audit job and completed my exams last year in the June 2012 session. I became an ACCA affiliate in August 2012 and a member in October 2012. I also completed the Certified Internal Auditor qualification last year in June 2012. However I never did a bachelors degree or any other academic qualification after my A Level exams. I intend to sit for IELTS shortly as I'm interested in migrating to Australia. However I'm not sure if I can qualify under the 'internal auditor' category as I don't have a bachelors degree and I'm not sure which qualification will count for post-qualification experience which is what VETASSESS (as I understand) require for someone applying under the internal auditor category. I'd also appreciate if someone could let me know under what visa category I should lodge my EOI and when I send my educational and experience documents to VETASSESS. Thanks in advance Confused Internal Auditor
