  1. Thankyou very much LJL, we have heard that Bulimba is really nice and will definetly look at places to rent there. Lyndsey.
  2. Hi, we are using an agency called Go Matilda who were recommended to us & they seem really good. They just tell us what paperwork & information is needed & they deal with it. Me & my husband are really scared of flying so visit 1st is out of the question!!! Crazy I know.... but 1 of these things we have 2 do. Just waiting on skills assessment being completed which should be in the next couple of weeks, then we go onto expression of interest. Not sure about increase in visa application but we are going 2 b around £6000.
  3. Hi there, me & my husbands story sounds a bit like yours. I'm an adult nurse and have never really felt I could or wanted to emigrate until I had my children (3 & 8months). Now I feel I should try it!!! We are in the process of applying for a 189 visa and are planning on the big move next April. We eventually have chosen Brisbane to go to but am finding it hard to narrow it down 2 a suburb. I only realised last week that there was issue with nursing jobs but am hoping to settle my children in & find something part-time. Where is the new hospital? Thanks.
  4. That's great. I'm adult nursing trained and am planning on doing my midwifery training at some point in the next few years. Do you know how long I would need 2 study and is there any other info you could give me. Thanks, Lyndsey.
  5. Wow so much for needing nurses!!! Thanks.
  6. Hi there, I'm hoping some of you can give us some advice. Me, my husband & 2 children are emigrating to Australia next April & after a lot of time have decided to go to Brisbane. We have heard the northern suburbs are really nice but without coming over and looking around are finding it really hard to decide which would be best for us. I am a nurse so a hospital within a 20-30 drive is essential. My husband is a car mechanic. My children are 1 & 4, so good schooling for them is my priority. I love shopping and an area with a lot of young families would be good. All info much appreciated.Share
  7. Hi all Im am looking for some advice... we are emigrating the start of next year and have heard the northern suburbs of Brisbane are nice. Can anyone recommend which would be most suitable for young families and good schools. Thanks.
  8. Hi Do you have children? If so how are they with the weather. Which area are you in? Thanks
