  1. Hi. Can my partner still apply for citizenship as she has been here long enough on her dad's sponsored visa if we have apply and Been accepted for stage one of partner visa (provisional PR)? And does my partner stay on the same visa all the way thou the application or do they join on to the partner visa? Cheers Jamie
  2. Can someone give us some info please... Long story cut short... girlfriend is PR im on WHV ends 20th May We are currently in Perth, I work fifo so not getting much time to sort paperwork out We have booked a holiday back to UK in June! Is there much different if we apply for the partner visa in UK? I know you have to be in the UK when it's granted, do you still go on the bridging visa (so can come n work in oz) will the case officer give you the date and then you can just fly bk to UK get it done and come back whats the details! Cheers for any help
  3. Naa all my payslips and bank stuff went to my home address (my mums n dads). Think we had a blockbuster card but I can't just use that
  4. Thanks all... The girlfriends visa is Skilled - Sponsored (Subclass 176) We were a couple living with her parents but have no proof! just have loads of proof for our own place. Going to book a appointment and talk to a agent, be the best bet.
  5. Hi, Long story cut short... My girlfriend and i meet in England about two years, im 21 now and she is 19. before we met, her family and her had visas/plans to move to oz, they were just sorting out finace and other stuff... they hold a sponsored visa, so she is a PR... we all moved out in May, im on a working holiday visa because it was the only easy and quick visa you can get. im coming towards the end of my visa.. we want to apply for the partner visa. after reading the booklet, i see you are meant to be living with each other for at least 12months, we can only prove this from when we got a house in oz in May. so its not 12months. i have raid you can register your relationship and apply sooner ( http://www.vincent.wa.gov.au/Your_Community/Whats_On/News/Relationship_Declaration_Register ) has any1 else done this and applied for the visa sooner?... or do you think its better to wait it out till may, the only problem with this is i would have to apply for the visa the day my visa ends... does this matter, im guessing they allow me to stay in oz untill the visa is sorted.. any advice on the visa or anything will be greatful, or even someone who has done it before and only been with each other for a short time that we can message if we need to. think i have coverd as much as i need.. thanks we are in WA (if that helps)

  8. Thanks for the reply on the eligibility part of the website, it talks about construction... and if you go on the ANZSIC - Construction Division link. If gives you details of the work (well I think) and on this link: http://www.abs.gov.au/Ausstats/abs@.nsf/Latestproducts/666538A7D516D464CA25711F00146DE9?opendocument) it talks a little about Carpentry Services but its not that clear. Im in Mandurah, WA... Post code 6211
  9. Hi, just been searching into the work I can do to count towards second visa... construction counts towards second visa, but does anyone know the "ins and out" of this.. I've been doing concrete work for the last 4 weeks. So I'm working as a casual labourer main jobs are going to new build houses and doing patio and driveway work. Will this count toward second visa? Also my uncle is in the Carpentry Trade, so would I be able to talk to his boss and try and get some un paid work with the company (it will mainly be Kitchen cabinet installation etc) will that count towards second visa? Any help would be great
