  1. Thanks so much for everyone's helpful replies. I have been in touch with a couple and we definitely qualify for the 190 or 489. Just need to speak to someone now and see where our options lie!
  2. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone would be able to provide recommendations for a migration agency? At the minute we're still considering our options and ideally would like to be put in touch with someone who we can go for an initial meeting with to discuss, or just via email correspondence. I have heard that Grist are good and have read nothing but good feedback, however I can't seem to find any contact details on the Internet. Are there any other agencies you'd recommend so we can start off the process of applying? Thank you.
  3. Hello all, The time has come that once again we are considering making the move down under, but from what I can tell, a lot has changed when it comes down to visas... FYI, we last looked at this approx 3 years ago... My partner is a qualified hairdresser for ten years and holds an nvq level 3 qualification, whereas I work as a creative writer for an events agency. Am I right in saying that hairdressers are no longer on the skills list? Was this one of the changes made? From what I can tell, to be able to come to Australia means my partner has to be sponsored by the state? Is this feasible or possible? How do we find out which states are sponsoring? What's the process for this? I can imagine this type of visa would be a lot more difficult and complicated to obtain - am I right? How many other people on the forum have gone down this route, and were you successful? I apologise in advance for the generic post, but any advice or assistance really would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
