    I've been here for over a year now and my wife (who is an australian/british) think about going back home every day. We moved down to give it a go, the sunshine was attractive and also the so called quality of life, well cuttin the story short in the time we are here we have know seen the whole picture. The things we miss the most about britain is the Class peaple have within themselfs. Peaple care about culture and take pride in education, because we of the amount of immigrants in britain I can now see we as british are more tolerant with other cultures. I fell that australia as a society has a long way to go to mature as a nation and stop the thinking that Australia is the best place in the world I have to listen to that at work all the time Peaple that have never left Australia and display no interest in world affairs but wake up and think about the they hause boat and cars. Its a very materialistc mentality. Do we want our daughter to have this lack of culture??? We dont think so. What about the RedNecks???? When I asked if anybody fells the same way, is because I thought I was mioving to a perfect Britain with 24 7 sun all year around, for my surprise the sun is there extreme heat, but there is nothing left from Britain in Australia and thats a shame. Well I live in QLD and I wonder if coming from London we are living in the wrong state.???? What do you think??? cheers

    WHAT IS LIFE WITHOUT FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Hi there my name is Jake and I completly understand the therm RedNecks, as Im currently in QLD. My wife and I have been here for a year and we are thinking about go back home next year. Yes australia has the sunshine but as a society it still has a long way to go. the open mindness is not there yet and I think that as a coutry there is a need of start to look out of the bubble. before moving I came 6 times here for hollidays and I did expect more, australia is niot multicultural as it should be even though it has the asians immigrants.
