Hi everyone, please can you help me, we are coming to the Gold Coast in a matter of months and I have done so much research on state primary schools my head is about to burst! My daughter has just turned 5 and has started school in the uk, I'm slightly confused as to when kids start school in oz? Also my husband will be based in southport and we are looking into areas a max of 20/25 minutes away, I can do as much research as I can but nothing compares to actual experiences so if someone's kids are at a school nr southport please give me you views!!! its so hard trying to team up a nice area to live with a good school and close to work!!! Please help me!!

HiWe have been told my hubby will be working in southport QLD. We ideally would not want to live too far away 25 min car journey at most but need to find the best place to settle for the best state schools. The houses in coomera look great and upper coomera but obviously don't want to live there if schools are rubbish? Any advice on areas and schools? Also I will be giving birth in oz in July and was wondering if anyone can advise on the best hospitals in that area?ThanksSam
