  1. Rupert, when I applied for the 857 there was a different GM in place, the philosophy of the company was entirely different and my hand wasnt being forced to constantly fire perfectly good employees. You seem a trifle judgemental but I do accept the reality, I was just looking for advice and shared experiences.
  2. Thanks for the informed responses which are always helpful. The central issue is I did love the job until a new GM was appointed whose methods are lets just say questionable. I am experiencing a huge amount of stress which is ultimately affecting my work and obviously my personal situation doesn't help. If I were to apply for a partner visa are there any working restrictions, ie. do I need an employer to sponsor me?
  3. Haha thanks I stand corrected on the ee front. So you're saying as I've only had the visa 3 months they are likely to cancel? I have been doing the same job ( managing the state) for 3 years though and our figures have always been good. Will check out your suggestions though cheers.
  4. Hi Guys, First time poster here. I am sure this has been asked many times but here goes. I am currently working in SA and have been doing so with the same company for the past 3 years, initially on a 457. Anyway I got my 857 last October but want to change both jobs and States. The reason is two fold, firstly I simply don't get on with my boss and the stress is killing me. Secondly my fiancé, who is from Vic is pregnant and homesick so ideally we would be keen to move there. Question is, are there any options for us, is applying for a partner visa a possibility? Many thanks in advance.
