    Hi Sahara,

May I know which regional certifying body did you contact? I am also in VIC. Would you remember how long it took them to give an advice? Many thanks and looking forward to your reply.

  2. Yes, you are right. Maybe people get bridging visas and then have to wait to find out if the nomination has been successful. Better to have an over cautious employer than one who isn't bothered though. :-)

    Hi SonicBlue,

thanks for all the info you have posted; i just want to enquire if the RCB advice is a must? did you apply through a direct entry stream? thanks. looking into applying next week as have jus talked with my employer and they are ok with it. i have worked with them for only 3 months. thanks.

  3. Hi everyone,

New to this website and was wondering if anyone who knows can help. I understand that the nominating sponsor must be in a regional area, but let's say you have been approved and have worked for so many months/years for your nominating sponsor and want to move to the city, is that allowed in a 187 visa? I am on a 457 visa at the mo but thinking of getting the permanent resident status as this obviously has more benefits. Thanks in advance and looking forward to any insight.
