Hi, just joined this site however I have used it to read threads and I have gained lots of invaluable advice! Thanks guys! I am looking for advice, my husband is a joiner/builder he has over 20 years experience working in practically all aspects of the building trade however our problem is that he has no paper qualifications no apprenticeship paperwork! He does have character/work references from all former bosses which are glowing of course! He has been self employed for approx 10 yrs, but doesn't have any accounts for the last 4/5 yrs due to the lack of work. I am worried how on earth will he be able to prove skills etc? I am aware that experience counts but has anybody had a similar dilemma? Skills select application asks for details on qualifications, I'm worried we will fall at the first hurdle!! We are hoping to move to Perth within the next year. Any advice on this is very much appreciated! :mad:
