  1. Hi guys, I've submitted my 190 state sponsorship application (for WA) to DIBP and I have been offered a Bridging A visa. However I am currently in WA on a WHV and have today called DIBP for advice as the bridging visa States it is not in effect as my WHV overrides. They have confirmed that I can only stay with my current employer for 6 months. Which is the employer who has given me the contract of employment in order to be able to apply for the state sponsorship visa. Has anybody else been able to apply for a different bridging visa to give them full working rights while their visa is processing? its now so difficult to speak to any migration agents being so close to Xmas as they are closing down for the holidays.
  2. Hi guys, I am hoping somebody can give me a bit of advice on whether anybody has encountered the same problem as me. I am at the final stage now for submitting my application for permanent residency for the 190 state sponsorship visa (to live in WA), I have been invited to apply by the WA Government. I am currently in Australia on a WHV and I have obtained employment within a very similar company to that of which my skills were assessed. However my job is very different and does not fit in with the occupation I have applied under (HR Advisor). My employer is willing to change my job role to fit in with the visa but does anybody know how closely this has to match the HR Advisor descriptor they use when assessing my case? What would be easiest is if I can focus more on the recruitment side of the business as I do some of that anyway but I'm not sure whether this would be sufficient. Has anybody else had this problem and if so what did you do?
  3. Thanks this is interesting, I did not realise you could apply for an extension.
  4. Hi guys, I am in the process of having my skills assessed for the 190 state sponsorship under the occupation of HR Advisor. As my job is on the CSOL list schedule 2 I require a company to employ me for a period of 12 months, which is pretty much impossible in my occupation to get while in another country. Therefore I have come to Australia on a WHV and have been offered a position. The problem we are having is that the company are restricted to offer me a contract any longer than 6 months due to me being on a WHV but I need a 12 month contract for the 190. Does anybody have any solutions? Or have you encountered this before and what did you do?
