Hi to you both, Yeah, i'll be looking at pre-school i think for january 14, girls are 5 April 07th 2014, i do get confused to be fair! I'm liking the look of kaleen, Aranda and Garran primary schools, we shall rent fully furnished when arrive for probably a few months whilst await shipping and in the meantime look at schools, areas, unfurnished houses etc. I get the impression most schools in Canberra are pretty good. Mark will be working from an ambulance station in a specic region within Canberra, the area we dont know yet. All you advice is so helpful, esp when your there and have experiences to use, very hard to be realistic from looking over the internet ;0)

Re other ladies with twins too, would love to have their advice too, i was going to see if they have some sort or twin club? My girls love playing with their twin friends here in the uK, it would be nice to make new ones. Pleased to also hear your loving it. How long have you been there?

Hello We arrive in Oz on 08 June, we cant wait, bring our two 4 year old girls with us, so also looking at schools. It hards doing the research fron here in the UK, we are planning to rent short term furnished, then unfurrnished for forseeable. Re areas and schools, at the moment i'm liking the look of kaleen and Aranda, but will need to take a better look when i arrive. We arrive in height of winter, people think we're crazy, i say it will just make us appreciate the summer a bit more :0). Love to swap more knowledge if helps us and others :0) Hayley

Hi, thanks for the info, it does give me some concern when not heard of them? I'm usine their quote to do some haggling though, and also not for others too that the freight charges go up as of 01 March 2013, i believe by 12percent so quotes will go up after this date by a few hundred pounds, worth considering. My husband and i are leaning towards PSS, just waiting on an updated quote from them next week? Great to hear from you, its nice to get others opinions.

Hello, the quote they offered was 3550 for a 20ft container, door to door service, others i have contacted are Anglo Pacific, PSS, Worldfreight, Intmover and ********, the next cheapest id 4,150, Anglo and PSS are middle range 4,500 - 4,800, all offering the same like for like service. I am currently in negotiations with the others to try and reduce them, its all so complex. Not heard or looked of shipit? Insurance is a new minefield altogether, i havent approached insure-your-move yet, but note that the above companies also off an insurance cover option? Hayley

Hi I'm moving to Canberra in June and just getting shipping quotes, the cheapest has been F & N, they are FIDI approved but i dont seem to know anyone who has either used them or know of them? Like to have their credentials checked with others before i go ahead. I would be grateful for any advice, thanks Hayley :biggrin:
