Thanks for the tips. As suggested I am sure there are other visa option we should consider... More research required. We are also considering going to a working overseas expo event, there seem to be several companies in the UK that run these. Does anyone have any experience of these or can recommend which tend to be the best? Thanks

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and just starting out on the process of relocating to Australia with my wife. I currently work in Lancashire as a Systems Engineer for a defence company where I require a security clearance with the UK government. I was just wondering if anyone knew if I were to seek similar work in Australia if security clearnaces are granted to overseas workers? Any information anyone could provide on this would be a massive help. Cheers

Hi everyone, My wife and I are right at the beginning of the migration process and have joined on here to look for advice from those who have made the move to Australia. From our initial research we hope to be able to secure a 457 visa against myself if I can find a relevant Engineering job. Can anyone please confirm if the 457 visa will cover my wife too or will she need her own visa. We do not have any children and she is hoping to secure work as a Town Planner in Australia.
