  1. I don't remember refusing to believe any of you. I am sorry if you got that feeling. But you are becoming a bit offensive accusing me that I refuse to believe you so I will stop this here. Thank you very much everyone for the information. You really helped me on this one. No matter what rupert says I believe what you said and I will do as you suggested. Kids under partners visa and I will fill the sponsorship as that nice lady suggested
  2. No, i am quite sure about that. I read it yesterday. Kids with at least one parent with Australian citizenship by Descent, get Australian citizenship by descent too if their parent has completed a total of 2 years of residence in Australia.
  3. They are 2 ways for my children to get a visa. Asking which one is better does not make things more complicated. It is a fair question. Each visa comes with specific privileges. So if i.e. I have to pay for their school with one type of visa then it is worth asking.
  4. Another thing, do you think my children should go under my wife's partner visa as dependent children or it's better if we get a child visa for each one of them? Are there any benefits or it doesn't matter since they will get citizenship when I complete 2 years of residence in Australia?
  5. Hmm, that's really interesting. But still you are not able to fill the "Date of Arrival" field. I guess if you write on the spare sheet your plans about how you are going to take care of your family, then you might leave that blank. Thank you very much.
  6. Maybe I am overthinking this. But I assumed that maybe they would want me to go to oz first, find a job and rent a house so my family can live without any problems, and then apply for their visas. They clearly say that they dont want to pay for non-australian citizens. Also with sponsorship and Assurance of Support I commit to payback any expenses the commonwealth may pay during their residence.
  7. The image below shows the section in the sponsorship form that I am not able to fill because unlike the Partner Visa form where it requires you to provide only the partners certificate of citizenship and the date it was granted, this one requires me to fill a date of arrival in australia and then length of residence...
  8. Yes I have my passport for over a year now. I have spent many many hours reading the immigration site. Also all the details in the application forms. Agents are way too expensive for me.
  9. I know that I have to sponsor for partner visa, but in the sponsorship form im asked when did I arrive in Australia and how long did I stay there. Also I'm asked for a proof for that. That's why I think I have to be living there and have a house and a job. Form also asks details about my house like how many bedrooms it has and more about my job. Like they want to make sure that I have a house for my family and I can pay for all their needs. Form also says that I need to be able to provide them residence for at least 2 years.
  10. I am going to need someone's advice on this. I have citizenship by descent but I haven't been in Australia for 2 or more years so my children could get citizenship too. Problem is that I need to fill that sponsorship application for both my wife and my kids. That sponsorship requires you to have a residence in Australia and probably and income. Also, I am being asked the day of my arrival in Australia and proof for length of stay. Since I have never been there before, it is impossible to provide these information. If I travel alone in Australia and get a job and then rent a house, will take minimum 3-4 months. Then I have to fill my sponsorship and send it to my wife so she can then apply for her and they children's visa. Then we will have to wait for about 6 months for her visa which means that this family will be separated for about a year. That is not something I would like to do. Any suggestions?
