Thank you everyone for your replies, I am very grateful to get so many peoples views on things in such a short space of time Like I said it was very EARLY stages of considering oz Now I have read everything (including the crime lol) which really shocked me to be honest - it was a facebook page called perth - crime rates for the person that asked. I am seriously taking a different view on things, okay hands up I admit this wasn't part of my fairytale dream that I have been living for the past few weeks it certainly needs lots more consideration Thank you for everyone's kind comments and I wish you all luck in whichever journey life takes you Take care xx

Wonder if I can have your views We are very early on in the decision to move to australia so nothing is confirmed Our main reasons for wanting to move to australia is to get away from the UK lifestyle of a struggling business, rubbish working hours for rubbish pay and to make a better lifestyle for our 11 yr old son and us of course. I stumbled across a crime page on facebook this morning and was shocked at the level of robberies/burglaries and car theft in the Perth area. Now are we stupid in thinking that australia would be a better life for us? or have I just picked up on a rough area? We've never been burguled robbed or had our car stolen in the UK so now im wondering would we be crazy to move there? A lot of people where also complaining of people climbing fences to get into houses people trespassing into gardens during the day Ok so I know there isnt any place which is crime-free but is somewhere to avoid?
