I will likely be moving to Penrith for work soon and am currently looking at the options of where to live. Being in my late twenties I would ideally like to live closer to Sydney. Does anyone commute and if so how do they find it What suburbs would ppl recommend - Im not set on being in the CBD and somewhere like Parramatta I guess would be Ok Just want to be a bit closer to the action!! Any ideas?

Hi Guys I am currently on a 457 and am living in the ACT. I'm from the UK so therefore have a recipricol medicare card. I am currently looking into getting Dental/Optical insurance and ambo cover. Most policies I look see online I am not eligible for as I am not a permanent resident. Does anyone know of or have any decent companies that offer this kind of cover without the need for 457 health cover? - that dont cost the earth! Thanks in advance...

Hey guys I am currently with NAB and have a Personal account and have just sent up a new savings account. Normally when I pay with my debit card I press savings and it comes out of my personal account. Now I have an actual savings account, if i press savings will this come out of my new savings account or will it continue to come out of my personal account? Thanks

Cool, How long would the commute be from civic to the Canberra hospital? Would I be able to cycle if I wanted? I dont particularly like commuting but definitely want to be close to the bars and shops etc...

Hi I am a single 25 year old guy coming to Canberra in August and will be working at the hospital My salary will be around $78,000 AUS Would it be feasible to live in the city centre (civic) and commute to the hospital or would you recommend living in an area closer to the hospital I still enjoy going out so would prefer an area with lots of bars and restaurants preferably within walking distance I am also thinking about finding a room mate to share with in order to make sure that I meet new people I have heard that ACT in general is ridiculously expensive for housing, do you think I will be able to rent somewhere semi decent on my wage?
