Hi Christine, thanks very much for all the info. Sounds like you have had a tough time on your hands, what made you decide to move there? Have you been to Oz before? We would be going out via my husbands sponsorship so not sure if the same rules apply. Did think we may have to take the court route though! Have you both got jobs when you get out there? My husband and I have a 5 month old baby as well and have had such a rubbish few years decided we need the change, also I've decided life is too short and I will be 40 this year so we need to get on with it!!! Have you looked into houses etc? Tracy

I'm not sure at the moment, the kids really want to go but he may kick up a fuss, not really sure at the moment so any advice would be greatly received.

Hi there, We are new to this site so thought we should post just to say Hi and we look forward to hearing any advice you may have to offer! We are looking to migrate to Oz possibly later on this year, my husband has been contacted about a possible job in Sydney so we are just starting the scarey process of finding out what we need to do and know. We have 3 children, 2 from my ex husband so we need advice on that issue please and a baby. We would be looking to come over Novemeber/December time and would love any advice on how to go about things and general life out there. Our older children are 9 and 13 so schooling is very important, what are they like in Oz? How is day to day life? If there is anyone out there who is reading this having made the move we would love to hear your thoughts. We would have to live very close to Sydney, apparently house prices are very high there so are there any near by towns that would be good for a family and near the beach? Hi, we are new to this site and thinking of moving to Australia later this year. It's all very exciting but I need to check on a few things first. Our biggest concern is if we can take our children away from their dad. My husband and I have been together for 7 years and married for 3, he has been contacted about a very good job in Sydney but I'm not sure where the land lies. My ex husband has seen the children every other weekend and every tuesday evening for the last 7 years but we feel they would have a much better quality of life out their and my husband would have a very good job. Does anyone know how the land lies with regards to this? Thought someone may have been through the same. It's my first post on here so still learning the ropes but would be really grateful to hear any one else's experiences or thoughts! Many thanks Tracy :biggrin:
