1.

HI french fries. i have a kidney disease as well. have you started your visa application? and how was the progress? thank you

 2. Hello and thanks for your replies, Actually Rupert, I still did not start anything!!! I have posted in another thread that I might start my PGCE soon, and AITSL and DIAC both said that I could apply right after getting my qualification. However I did not really think of medicals, until I saw some scary threads about how people have got their visa refused for kidney failure!!! I have sent an email to George Lombard, and will see what he advises. I prefer to know that my dream will be shattered right now than after having spent all that money and done so much effort! Anyway my situation does not look too optimistic, I am really gutted! Anyway, always look on the bright side of life!
 3. Hello everyone, I was really thinking to move to Oz, but the Health thread scared me a bit. I was going to apply for a 189 or 190, but I have kidney failure (quite severe), with high blood pressure. I am treated for everything, and did not go on dialysis for the last 7 years. However I do need to take quite a lot of medications for my blood pressure, and one day i will surely need a kidney transplant (I'm 26). Can my visa be refused because of my chronic desease? I live a very normal life, just need to take meds and see a specialist at hospital every 3 months to have blood tests. Thanks for your help!
 4. One more question, is the PGCE offered by the Open University recognised by AITSL? Thanks,
 5. Thank yu so much for your clear and quick reply. I won't be able to claim any point for my post experience, as I don't have any. Is what you said the same if I wish to apply for subclass 190? Hopefully I will be able to apply for the 189 one, if I can get IELTS band 8. Wow, it seems to me that my dream is getting true now.

The person who replied me seems to think that I can apply to AITSL without any experience after my PGCE? Is that true? I always thought we needed at least 1 year experience before being considered. Please let me know, as I can't see anything on AITSL. And what about DIAC? Thanks for your help! Hi everyone, After A LOT of thinking, the quickest route for me to live in Oz, would be to obtain my PGCE and be a secondary school teacher. I have read the AITSL's website, which is not really tough on what qualifications we need to have. So, to sum up, here is my plan, please let me know if I am right. -I am a native French speaker and I have just finished my BA(Hons) in Modern languages (French and English) with the OU whilst working as a secondary school TA, in the MFL department. Will AITSL recognise this qualification? I have done it in 3 and half years, and it was mainly French. Is MFL in demand in Oz? - I plan to start my PGCE in Sept. 2013 full time, in MFL. Do I need one year experience after receiving my PGCE? If so, is it 12 months experience, or one academic year, with the holidays? Is one year experience enough to apply for 189 or 190, or be assessed as positive by AITSL? I know I will need to pass the IELTS test, is it difficult? I will need a pass band 8 in order to apply for the 189, or I will not have enough points. If I have the band 7, then I will need a top up of 5 points by applying through State Sponsorship... A lot of questions, I know, but I am still learning on the process to apply for a visa. Thanks for all your help!
